FEMMEART: NEW WAYS OF LIVING

Femmeart – which started as an academic project – soon grew into a quarterly editorial. Exploring contemporary and controversial topics through interviews with women from various sectors and social backgrounds, the project aimed to create a platform that challenged societal stereotypes and provided a voice to underrepresented narratives.

Creative idea:

The project was driven by a desire to reclaim the traditionally feminine aesthetic, which has often been associated with delicacy, and turn it into a symbol of strength and empowerment. Complete oversight was taken over the editorial direction, including selecting paper, colours, typography, and column spacing. Photography filters and visual elements were meticulously chosen to create a unified aesthetic. The design choices aimed to reflect the power of feminism that has often been belittled and stripped away, reintroducing it as something bold, strong, and unapologetic.
